Day 1

Travel to Burton, OH for Yankee Tyme in Amish Country!

Begin your trip down the path to the past with a tour of the Geauga County Historical Society’s Century Village Museum. This restored 1800’s early Western Reserve Museum boasts five fully furnished homes, a church/meeting house a one-room school house, blacksmith shop, the white barn, a Marshal’s office, plus more…

Come and see how Burton Log Cabin makes maple syrup! This village taps 1200 trees to fill this cabin with maple syrup and candy to sell. While touring the log cabin, you will learn how the folks here have been producing the highest quality maple sugar products for over six decades.

Enjoy lunch at the Welshfield Inn. This is a wonderful inn located in Geauga County! It was built during the 1840’s and was part of the Underground Railroad, caring for escaped slaves on their way to Canada.

Shop at Discover Heritage Market. This is the place that offers new and used items for your home! They offer everything from antiques, foodies ideas, home décor and much more.

The last stop of the day is Yankee Bakery. This is a family owned bakery, that uses the best ingredients! Take some goodies for your ride home! (L)
