Day 1
Visit and tour the wedding site of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall at the 914-acre country estate, Malabar Farm in Mansfield, OH. It was the home of Pulitzer Price winning author Louis Bromfield and a haven for many Hollywood celebrities. Bring out your inner child with a visit to the Richland Carrousel Park, home to an indoor turn-of-the-century, G.A. Denzel-style carrousel and a hand-carved wooden carrousel, first built and operated in the U.S. since the 1930’s. Enjoy lunch at Der Dutchman. The last stop of the day is a visit to one of the largest castle-like structures in the USA, The Ohio State Reformatory. Four motion pictures were filmed there, including the Shawshank Redemption. Travel back to Pittsburgh. (L)
