Day 1

6:30 PM DINNER AT GOLDEN CORRAL BUFFET & GRILL - Enjoy this all you can eat included dinner.


Day 2

12:30 AM ARRIVE BEAUFORT, SC - Enjoy a HORSE DRAWN CARRIAGE RIDE and learn about Beaufort's history, see Hollywood movie sites, see gorgeous gardens, ancient churches and many Civil War era Antebellum homes. Board boats and relax in the balmy breeze on CAPTIAN DICK'S BEAUFORT RIVER TOUR & DOLPHIN WATCH. The Captian and First Mate lead our tour admidst the ecology of the Salt Marsh which includes dolphins, osprey and more! Enjoy LUNCH ON OWN and SHOPPING in downtown Beaufort with unique and independent boutiques, artisan shops and restaurants located here. Beaufort has a very comfortable and walkable downtown with no chain retail shops or restaurants.
5:45 PM ANCHORAGE 1770 - Enjoy a reception and dinner at this historic wterfron boutique Inn.

Day 3

9:00 AM - We're off to catch the spirit of the islands onboard our CONVERTIBLE SPRINTERS with 360-degree unobstructed panoramic views. Travel the beaches and backroads inaccessible on a full-sized motorcoach while we discover what makes this area so unique. Roll back the retractable roof once we pull off of the main roads. Enjoy the beach as the beach should be enjoyed. Smell the earthy marsh and salty tidal air, soad in the sunlight, and enjoy the fresh air breezes. Next visit The Praise House, Pat Conroy Grave, Slave Cemetray and Penn Center. See the Plantation hjouse from the impressive Avenue of Oaks. NExt we are off to do a little beachcombing at an undisturbed and beautiful barrier island. See the lighthouse, learn its history and climb if you dare! Walk the beach while learning about the unique exo-systems of this area, an Audubon and turtle preserve. Explore this island that was the location of the Viet Nam Beach scene where Forest Gump carried Bubba to safety.
LUNCH is a Low Country Shrimp Boil, AKA Frogmore Stew, served at the Sea Island Center, where we will "hear the rest of the story" from a local storyteller and historical interpreter. Next we will visit the Shrimp Docks, where your shrimp was harvested for our boil today! Owned by a local shrimper, see how they catch from the sea with their nets, boats and docks. Get a clos-up experience of low country life and the history of shrimping on the island. Visit the docks and learn the history, heritage and traditions of the commercial shrimping in the low country. See the boats and docks where Forrest Gump was depicted. On the journey back to the hotel, time permitting, we will stop at a local farm market for a chance to purchase and take back some homemade culinary delights such as WEE Gumbo or pick a watermelon to enjoy at the hotel this evening.
5:00 PM WINE RECEPTION - Walk to historic Rhett House in downtoen Beaufort for a wine reception. You will be greeted with a glass of wine, light hors d'oeuvres, and great company for an enjoyable social.
6:30 PM DINNER ON OWN - Enjoy a dinner on your own along the Beaufort's Front Porch.

Day 4

Today's journey is under an hour away to enjoy a unique tour of SAVANNAH in our CONVERTIBLE MINI BUS! This is the best way to view the historic beauty of Savannah! Enjoy expansivce 360 degree panoramic views from this vehicle with a fully retractable glass top. See historic steeples, Spanish moss an Georgia sunshine as we enjoy a 90 minute driving tour of the Historic District before we venture off to discover the best of the Low Countryu. Next visit a 100-year old Gullahj Geechee Community quietly isolated on the banks of Moon River (Yes, THAT Moon River!), and learn about the unique aspects of their oyster and crab aquaculture practiced for over a century. Here we will enjoy a BBQ LUNCH served by the regional cook off BBQ Master! Lunch is served on the deck surrounded by incredible March views! Today we'll see one of the largest rows of Live Oaks and Spanish moss in the U.S. Colonial interpreters will tell the story of the Estate of Noble Jones (1702-1775). Try your hand at Cricket on the original grass Cricket lawn located here. Enjoy Oyster Appetizers while the sunsets from a porch nestled in the jeart of Sandfly offering panoramic views of the waters of the marsh and tidal inlet. Move inside for window view seating and a DINNER of locally sourced, fresh seafood,

6:00 AM BREAKFAST AT HOTEL - prior to checking out
1:00 PM LUNCH - Enjoy an included lunch at Snappy Lunch, a local landmark diner serving breakfast plates, biscuits, and sandwiches in a no-nonsense setting.
3:00 PM MOUNT AIRY, NC - Arrive at the ANDY GRIFFITH MUSEUM . Learn about the life in Mount Airy and the "Mayberry State of Mind". Mayberry fans will see The Andy Griffith Museum, The Old City Jail, Floyd's City Barber Shope, the Andy Griffith Playhouse, TV Land Landmark Andy & Opie Statue, Andy's Home Place, Mayberry Courthouse and Wally's Service Station. The basic tour also includes a trip inside the gates of the world's largest open face granite quarry, which makes its home in Mount Airy. Vistors will learn about Mount Airy's history and view granite structures, such as churches, businesses, homes, the Moiunt Airy Municipal Building and the Mount Airy Post Office.
4:30 PM - DEPART
5:00 PM Arrive at Old-Time Heritage Hall at the Historic Earle Theatre and experience local Bluegrass and see Flatfoot dancing instructional videos.
7:00 PM Enjoy DINNER VIA VOUCHER at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store.

10:00 AM Stop at MEADOWS of DAN along the Blue Ridg Parkway for a Photo opportunity
10:30 AM CHATEAU MORRISETTE WINERY TOUR - Enjoy a tour, tasting and lunch. House wines pair with American cuisine at this relaxed spot with sweeping river and mountain views. Lunch includes your choice of: 1) Milk braised pulled port, 2) Marinated Hanger Steak with onions and tomatoes, 3) Grilled Chicken with tarragon aioli, 4) Heritage Bacon, greens and roasted tomato sandwich, OR 5) Roasted Vegetable Sandwich, eggplant, mushroon, tomato. Dessert will be chef's choice and non-alcoholic drinks included.
