Day 1

Travel to Cleveland, OH where you will meet your guide for the day. Enjoy a breathtaking guided tour of the beautiful Lakeview Cemetery. On the tour visit famous memorials, including the James A. Garfield Memorial, John D. Rockefeller, John Milton Hay (former secretary to Abraham Lincoln) and Alan Freed the famous disc jockey who coined the term “Rock n Roll”!

Learn why the Haserot Angel is crying! This statue appears to be weeping black tears, which pour from her eyes and drip down her neck!

Enjoy LUNCH at Heinen’s Market. This building has amazing architecture in the Cleveland trust Rotunda, which includes thirteen murals with a tiffany-style stained glass ceiling. (L)

Take a self-guided tour of the Historical Old Stone Church. This is a historic Presbyterian Church located in downtown Cleveland and is the oldest building on Public Square.

Once used as a stagecoach stop on the Buffalo-Cleveland-Detroit run, Dunham Tavern Museum is the oldest building still standing on its original site in the city of Cleveland. This was the home of Rufus and Jane Pratt Dunham!

Enjoy shopping at the end of the day at Gust Gallucci’s Italian Foods & Market. This glorious store of imported Italian and gourmet foods has served the greater Cleveland area for over 110 years!
