Singer Castle - Please note: Walking and climbing stairs are required to view the interior of the castle. Comfortable shoes are recommended. Need to walk from the dock to the castle and multiple steps inside the Castle. Not Handicapped Accessible.
Day 1
Enjoy the beauty of the 1000 Islands. Learn about this magical region that for a time was the summer playground for the rich from Chicago to New York. See how they lived, and taste the 1000 Islands spirit of today. Travel to the 1000 Islands region with a late afternoon arrival. Check in to your hotel in
Alexandria Bay for the next three nights.
Day 2
Visit the scenic village of Clayton with its riveredge boardwalk, appealing shops (don't miss the cheese shop!), and get a look under the covers at 1000 Islands life at the Antique Boat Museum. Then you'll be on the river itself, with an afternoon luncheon cruise, complete with stopover at Boldt Castle.
B, L, DDay 3
This morning you’ll visit the region's museum dedicated to an artist we typically associate with bronco busters and the wild west but who was actually a native New Yorker and dedicated 1000 Islander, Frederic Remington. Fascinating displays exhibit examples of his finished work and show how he made them. Round out the day with another afternoon cruise, this time to Dark Island and Singer Castle.
Day 4
Time to head for home with the stories of the 1000 Islands and the feel of the river breeze on your face still fresh in your mind.

Walking Code: 4 - This tour requires a heavy amount of walking. To truly experience the program and destination, you need to be able to participate in physical activities such as long walking tours, walking over uneven terrain, climbing stairs and periods of standing. Some of the touring days may be longer, with select included activities occurring later in the evening.
Insurance: Travel Insurance is optional. To be eligible for the waiver of pre-existing medical condition exclusion, the protection plan must be purchased within 15 days from the time you make your initial trip deposit and for the prepaid non-refundable payments or deposits. If purchased, the insurance premium is refundable during the 15 day review period, unless you have filed a claim or departed on your trip.
