Day 1
Learn about the history of Warren, Ohio. Warren was one of the first towns in the U.S. to have electric street lights!
The Ernie Hall Aviation Museum honors local contributions to the field of aviation and bears the name of one of America’s most well-regarded aeronautical pioneers—Earnest C. Hall! The museum is filled with local, national and international aviation memorabilia from the birth of the industry through present day!
Next take a tour of the beautiful Taylor-Upton House. It is the third oldest surviving house on Mahoning Avenue, in Warren, OH. The house became the temporary center of the National American Woman Suffrage Association in 1903. Harriet Taylor Upton was instrumental in getting women the right to vote in the United States.
Lunch will be at the Grand Resort! Built in 1970, with a major multi-million-dollar renovation, this unique hotel and conference center offers a peaceful retreat from the clamor of everyday life!
Your next top will be The National Packard Museum. Learn about the family, the industries, and the automobile, including classics dating back to 1903! This museum highlights the history of the Packard family.
The final stop of the day will be Jimmy’s Italian Specialties! Once you step into this store you will think you are in Italy! Homemade noodles, tomato sauce, wines and much more! This wonderful Italian specialty market is a stop you won’t forget soon!
